lifted: dinner with gabriel & carlie

last friday i was totally blessed to have dinner with Gabriel and Carlie of gabriel ryan photographers. i had been wanting to set something up with them for awhile to hear their recent story of making the transition into a full time photography career and the stars aligned at Javier's at the Irvine Spectrum. they were such troopers because they had just spent the better part of the week in vegas celebrating their one year wedding anniversary and had just driven home, changed quickly and headed back out the door to meet up with me. i'm sure they would've much rather stayed home and crashed but as i said, i was blessed that they were still willing to share a meal.

gabriel is a super talented photographer and carlie is awesome at generating those amazing poses from their clients that is so valuable and so apparent in their images. (let me clarify that carlie also shoots and captures some rad images herself.) it was great to hear the story of their continuing journey into the world of photography and they dropped some great tips too! besides being an awesome photog duo, they are super sweet, super genuine and soon to be super close neighbors with me in Ladera! it will be rad to have some new friends who share the same passion(s) as i do and i know we'll be hanging out again soon.

just wanted to take the time to "publicly" thank both gabriel and carlie for meeting with me and sharing their story. check out this picture of them i snagged from their blog! they really ARE that fun!

thanks again guys!
